Community and Business Leaders Show Their Support
"I feel [the
B.A.B.E.S. program will have a positive impact in reducing the rate of child abuse in our community. . .One of the many criteria is participation in a parenting class or support session. B.A.B.E.S falls under this category, and we strongly encourage these young mothers to take part in your
program."
"The purpose of this letter is to support the efforts of the B.A.B.E.S program for the prevention of child abuse and the promotion of healthy parenting in our community. . . Additionally, I support the availability of B.A.B.E.S. as a periodic place to find respite in the trials and tribulations of parenting. While many parents have an adequate base of support in which to turn, B.A.B.E.S offers hope for parents who may lack such support circles. This is a piece of the overall well being of a community, and B.A.B.E.S is filling a niche previously unfilled."
"A community is a collection of people, and building a better community requires all of us to do our part and to shoulder some of the responsibility for making the place we live
and work a better place, a community. The work that all of you are doing with the B.A.B.E.S Child Abuse Prevention Program is a perfect example of just what that means. Every time someone from your staff or a volunteer for your program offers help to someone in need, you are helping and taking responsibility for making this a better place, and for that you are to be
congratulated."
